Hey All, I'm a 18 year old music student from Burlington Ontario. I've been playing the Guitar for Two and a half years, and the piano for about 11. I really dig fingerstyle guitar, and I aspire to the level of players like Don Ross, Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour and Michael Hedges. I am fond of Fingerstyle Guitar (Duh), Classical Music (Grigori Allegri's "Miserere", Debussy, Chopin), Jazz (Michael Kaeshammer, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Brad Mehldau), Funk (Earth Wind and Fire, Victor Wooten), Minimalism (Arvo Part, Steve Reich), Avant Garde (Mr. Bungle, Fred Frith), and more mainstream music (John Mayer, Led Zepplin, Radiohead)
My ultimate goal is to be a composer of not just guitar pieces, but chamber, orchestral and ensemble music as well. |
