Question  Partial Capo?

Hi guys

I'm thinking about getting a partial capo, does anyone here have any recomendations?

I use a Shub capo at the moment and just make it fit, will I notice any difference using a partial capo or are they not worth bothering with?

Thanks in advance for any info Smile

Hey Walesy,

I use Shubbs all the time! Their partial and banjo capos are great for covering only certain strings on the neck.

I made do with my kaiser capo for a long time... I wrapped some putty in paper and used it to help clamp the strings down (the paper prevents the putty from getting everywhere.
Then I got fed up and sawed it off so I could play rylynn some more.

If I was you matey, i'd buy a 'standard' capo first as they're really usefull and you can use them as a 'partial capo' with a bit of adjustment, then maybe think of getting a partial capo later for specific tunes.

Hey Andy,

what type of capo is that in the Rylynn video? Can you give me the model and brand?

Andy (or anyone else for that matter):

Do you have any experience using the Third Hand Capo? It seems like a lot of people dislike them, but I own one and I dig it. I figure that if I can do some cool stuff with it, you must be able to cure cancer with it! Smile There is a local acoustic guitar player around Wichita who uses three of them at once on a particular song!

Hey Jett,

Good to see ya man! I actually have zero experience with the third hand capo. They do look interesting, I've just never picked one up.

Antoine does a song with one and he manipulates it through the tune a couple times.

That's pretty interesting to hear a guy is using three at once! That must be nutzoid. Is the music any good?

Andy
