So this term I am studying Ethnomusicology. It basically looks at music in cultures and around the world. We were asked to review a performance we've seen for this short paper and review it from a cultural point of view as opposed to the music itself. my questions were:
Do you feel you are being critiqued more so in the smaller venue shows, does there seem to maybe be a class divide between yourself and the way you were raised as opposed to the people watching you? How has this changed or how have your shows changed as you have traveled the world. (I ask this because the venue had an expensive dinner/wine list, all that jazz, something I myself am not accustomed to so the show was out of my element so to speak)
