Touring News:
Guitar Master Tour with Eric Johnson, myself, and Peppino D’Agostino is ready to roll in the USA and tickets are now available. I just posted a bunch of tour info and ticket links here: http://www.andymckee.com/tour/ . Its gonna be awesome! We are each playing our own sets; first Peppino, then me, then Eric and then maybe a little sumptin’ else… Starts soon, October 1st in Milwaukee, WI and ends Oct 17th in Ridgefield CT. We’ll do about a week of California dates in mid January, 2011 as well. These are ALL the dates – so you gotta get a ticket if you wanna see the show!
Some Andy McKee solo dates in Asia are to be announced shortly, I will post the dates ASAP. These will be after the date in Bangkok in late October.

Here’s some cool video links to a couple things that Lee Ritenour did in conjunction with me and the “Six String Theory” project. The first one is related to “Driftting” as Lee assembled a killer full band to help broaden the sound of my tune.
The next song is one of my all-time favorite tracks by Sting, “Shape of My Heart”. Lee had us “instrumentalize” this one with a full band. Steve “Luke” Lukather comes in on the main vocal melody over Lee’s sweet groove while I hold down the main acoustic riff. Lee and Steve weave in and out and their chops are simply mind-bending.

I just posted a Festival date for Bangkok Thailand Bangkok Acoustic Guitar Celebration on 30 October. This will be my first time in Thailand and am super-psyched. Looking to lock a bunch of other Asian and Oceania dates right around that time frame – so please keep watching for updates.

Press continues to roll along – I just did an interview with Acoustic Guitar magazine and the current Guitar World mag with Ozzy on the cover has a nice feature article too that I had a lot of fun doing! Hi Everybody, in trying to bring a new way to doing things in promoting records or, heck, music in general, its often really hard to get all the ships floating in the same direction. So, I am sad to say, I am canceling my in-stores a the Best Buys in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. The shows and everything else are staying the same. I am finding that as the “machine” gets bigger around me its a steep challenge to make stuff happen the way I want for you guys and for me as an artist – this is a priority one thing for me and when we have this figured out we will do cool things in this vein again. Thanks for supporting me and see you at the upcoming gigs. If this impacts you I understand this very well and I appreciate everything you guys represent to me. Thanks, Andy
Hey Everybody, doing some free mini clinics at Best Buy locations in New Orleans, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio this week. Lots of prizes are going to be given away including a Yamaha acoustic guitar D’addario strings and a bunch more stuff – plus we’ll get a chance to hang out for a bit. Come by and say hello! Shows:
UK & Europe touring 2010 was absolutely mind-bending. Huge thanks to everyone who came to a gig and those who came to the in-stores too.
The US and Canada run begins this week with a benefit show (Tulare County Suicide Prevention) in California and a sold out show in Canada. And then I come back to the USA and hit the ground running. I have in-stores that are mini-clinics and "meet and greets" that are in early June at New Orleans, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio Best Buy stores. There will be giveaways and much, much more. I will be announcing more in-stores shortly as I head towards the West Coast and start going back east. Lotsa cool press activity – Acoustic Guitar Magazine in France and Germany. Vintage Guitar Magazine and Relix iin the US. The excellent guitar mag Guitar World just did an interview and video that will be on a special DVD that'll come with the mag. These are all out within the next 2 months. Local press stuff too and am scheduling TV appearances – San Antonio and other places – I will list dates and times as we get closer.

As a lot of you know when I was at NAMM in January I got to record with Lee Ritenour and Steve Lukather and a bunch of other amazing musicians. Check out in the new promotional video featuring an absolute who's who of guitar players.
